So Much for a “Weekly” Blog – Here’s What I’ve Been Up To in 2018

Completed Web Projects 2018

Yikes! I’ve somehow managed to go 251 days since last updating my “weekly” blog. Back in early 2017 when I first started my own digital marketing business, one of the promises I made to myself was to write 1 blog a week no matter how busy I became with client work. Pretty easy promise to make myself when I was only working on 2-3 client projects a week. Then 2018 came around and next thing you know it’s September and I’ve only posted 1 blog!

The good news is there’s a good reason why I’ve been MIA. 2018 has been a busy year when it comes to client work. Not only have I developed several websites for small to medium sized businesses in Windsor-Essex but I’ve also worked on several SEO strategies and social media campaigns. I thought a good way to bring back the blog would be to review some of the projects I’ve worked on this year. Let’s take a look…

Web Design and Development

WEtech Alliance Website
Website: WEtech Alliance
The WEtech Alliance website was one of the larger projects I worked on this year. It’s what I like to call a “hybrid” WordPress website which uses the Native WordPress Theme framework but is custom designed and programmed. For the design of the website, I teamed up with Bianca Bennett of Pari Studio. Using her design prowess and my website strategy, we came up with a website that is not only beautifully designed but very user-friendly.

Taste of Tecumseh Website
Website: Taste of Tecumseh
The Taste of Tecumseh website differed from the WEtech website in both size and scope. While the WEtech website has multiple pages, an event calendar and a news section, the Taste of Tecumseh website is a more simplified approach as a one-page scrolling website. The re-design did allow for a much more streamlined process for buying tickets including an online ticket option setup through Eventbrite.

Tony Rauti Luxury Homes Website
Website: Tony Rauti Luxury Homes
It’s always a good feeling when a client who you built a website for 8 years ago returns for a re-design. One of the first websites I designed back in 2010 was Tony Rauti Luxury Homes. Sadly as the years progressed the site became dated and was in need of an update. This time around, I used a responsive WordPress theme to program the website which includes high resolution photography, a simple contact for and more detailed information about their services.

That wasn’t all, to date I’ve worked on 10+ projects so far this year including: Great Lakes Greenhouses, Concorde Precision Manufacturing, Lasalle Vision, Melissa Lyons, Injection Technologies, Irek.ca, Michael Akpata, Sonata Piano Studio and more.
