Contrary to popular opinion – email is not dead.

And it’s not sleeping either! Email marketing is one of the best ways to get in touch and stay in touch with not only potential customers but existing customers as well. Using your website and marketing materials to generate newsletter leads is a key component to any online marketing campaign. It’s one of the best ways we can measure the success of a campaign and if those leads are properly nurtured, they can very easily be turned into sales.

Setting up a regularly scheduled email newsletter to stay in touch with your current customers keeps them in the loop on your latest products, sales and services. By using email software programs which track open rate, clicks and bounce rate, you can segment those lists even further to properly target what your customers are really interested in.

Email lead generation without a newsletter.

Not everyone has time to setup a monthly newsletter to stay in touch with clients so how do we use email marketing in a different way? We do it through lead generation forms which offer a little something from your customers for a little something from you.

Offering downloadable whitepapers, e-books or presentation files will help you generate leads for one of your specific product offerings. For example, an online marketer like myself might offer a free downloadable e-book titled “The 5 SEO strategies you need to implement today!” In order to download the free e-book, a customer would have to submit an online form with their name and email, which I can then use to contact them about future. If I properly nurture that lead and continue to regularly contact that customer with unique, engaging and useful information, there’s a strong chance I can convert them to a sale.
